A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi,
This usually happens when Office is no longer signed in with the Microsoft account used during its first activation, or the Office installation has become corrupted.
Open Word, go to File > Account, sign out of all accounts, restart Word, then sign in with the original Microsoft account. Also check https://account.microsoft.com/services — Office Home & Student should appear there. ASUS confirms that the included Office licence is linked to the Microsoft account used during activation.
If the licence is listed but Office still shows “Unlicensed Product,” go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Office > three dots > Modify > Online Repair, then restart the PC. Microsoft recommends Online Repair for damaged Office files and activation problems: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application
For the permission error, copy one affected file to the Documents folder and try opening it there. If it works, the problem is with the original folder or OneDrive permissions, not Office.
If Office is missing from the Services page, contact ASUS with the laptop serial number and purchase receipt so they can verify the bundled licence. Do not purchase another licence yet.
