Outlook Classic will not open on my laptop. I was able to open it earlier today.

2026-07-25T18:39:03.21+00:00 I had to stop for an appointment so I shut everything down for over an hour. I can now get into Outlook. I don't know if you did something, or if it was just annoyed and also needed a break. That is not really a response you can post but I appreciate feeling like someone was there to help me.

I will work with you on this issue.
I'm going to run through a few steps with you. Some of these are diagnostic — they help me narrow down what's wrong, not fix it outright. So if nothing changes after a step, that's normal and expected, not a dead end. I'll keep going until we've got this resolved.
- Have you restarted your computer once?
- Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.
Type
Outlook.exe /safePress Enter.
Does Outlook open correctly with this command?

2026-07-25T16:10:25.96+00:00 I had already restarted. following the steps above I got the message 'Windows cannot find outlook.exe/safe'
