Multiple OneDrive Locations on C: and F:

Question

I intended to use Drive F as my OneDrive, I have a laptop and a USB 3 (F) hard drive which worked fine - now I am not so sure. I have a OneDrive on C and F now. I want to use only F for my OneDrive, I planned on keeping all the files on F .

Confused - I am reading all the information I can find and I take it the Cloud Onedrive has all the data. The more I look and try to make a decision on the correct steps..

Should I unlink Onedrive on C and install again linking setting my drive to F,

I don't like using an external drive for OneDrive. For one thing, you must never eject (or unplug) the external drive. If you do, you must go through the long re-syncing process, which for me seemed to occur too often even without ejecting the drive.

If I lack space in OneDrive, I prefer to use the "Free up space" feature and use the external drive for full periodic backups of my OneDrive.

But now I have new hardware with lots of internal space, which is ideal for making backups since all files are locally available. The old hardware does not need files to be locally available.

It sounds like one of the folders might be just record only and can be removed.

To find out which one is record only so you can make the correct next step, do you see the gray cloud icon on taskbar?

If so, click on it then go to Settings > Accounts tab > Choose folder.

At the bottom of this page, do you see the OneDrive location path? If so, is that path pointing to C drive or F drive?
