How to transfer Whiteboard files

I have been using a personal Onedrive account that I created many Whiteboards in. I have now created a business account to be able to continue using Whiteboard, but all my old boards do not show up in the new account. How can I transfer my old boards into my new account?

I tried, but copy/paste does not seem to work between whiteboards. I just get a random word.

Based on my test environment, using Ctrl + A to select all content, followed by Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to copy and paste, is working normally. To help me better understand and investigate the issue, could you please share a screenshot of the problem you are experiencing?

Microsoft has said that any whiteboards created under a personal account will be deleted in a few weeks and you will have to have a business account to continue using whiteboard. I have created a business account so I can create new whiteboards, but all my personal boards will be lost. Copy/paste is not allowed from personal whiteboards, and I can only export to a pdf/image. I would like to get my old whiteboards into my new account so I can continue to access them and modify them.

In this case, I recommend that you contact Microsoft Technical Support.

For Business accounts, you can create a support ticket to receive direct assistance from Microsoft's technical support team. They may be able to assist you through a remote session and have specialized tools that could help transfer content from your Personal account to your Business account.

Hi Brian,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, I understand that you have recently signed up for a Business account and would like to migrate the Whiteboards you previously created in your personal account to your Business account.

Since these are two separate accounts, Whiteboards created under your personal account are stored in that personal account, while Whiteboards created under your Business account are stored in the OneDrive associated with your work or school account. As a result, when you sign in to your Business account, the Whiteboards from your personal account will not automatically appear.

At this time, there is no setting or built-in feature that allows you to directly transfer Whiteboards from a personal account to a Business account.

In this situation, I recommend manually copying the content from your personal Whiteboard to a new Whiteboard in your Business account. You can do this by pressing Ctrl + A to select all content on the Whiteboard, then using Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to copy and paste the content into a new Whiteboard under your Business account.

By manually copying and pasting the content into your Business account, the new Whiteboard will become an independent Whiteboard that belongs to your Business account. Additionally, if you need to make changes in the future, you can continue editing that Whiteboard directly within your Business account without any limitations.
