I seem to have two accounts tied to same email address. One Personal and one in a work/school-type domain? Can you help me?

Microsoft used to allows personal accounts to use any email address (even one that later became a work domain), which creates this overlap. To fix this, you can set up another email account (e.g. Outlook) and configure it as the primary for your personal account.

    1. Sign in to your Personal account.
    2. Go to the Microsoft Account Management Page and select Your info.
    3. Click on Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
    4. Add a new, different email address (like an Outlook.com or Gmail address) as an Alias.
    5. Select Make primary next to your new alias.
