If the charge appears on your Microsoft account
If you can see the charge, but you do not remember making the purchase, you will need to contact Microsoft Support.
For privacy and security reasons, no one on this public forum can view your billing information or account details.
To contact support:
- Open the Start menu on your computer.
- Search for and open the Get Help app.
- Type Billing.
- Select Contact Support.
- Answer the questions shown on the screen.
- Choose the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent.
If the charge does not appear on your Microsoft account
If you cannot find the charge anywhere on your Microsoft account, someone may have used your credit card on a different Microsoft account.
In that case, contact your credit card company or bank and report the charge as unauthorized. Ask them to open a dispute.
Microsoft Support usually cannot discuss or investigate purchases made through someone else’s account. However, after your credit card company opens a dispute, Microsoft can respond to the bank through the official dispute process.
This is the safest and most appropriate way to handle the charge.
