I have 7 emails visa godaddy Microsoft 365 and most are EXTREMELY important to my businesses and livelihood. Two weeks ago they all just went offline and I spent HOURS with Godaddy trying to rectify and they kept telling me to disable the security and delete and re-add the accounts. I have done this over and over and over and it keeps asking to send an email security code, which I do and then enter and before it kept saying wrong code (which obviously was not as it was from the security verification email I received) and then now after entering it for all accounts it says: __No auth plugin to verify credentials for accounts of type com.apple.account.Exchange

I find it wild there is absolutely no support for this error. My chat GBT said that an update would hopefully fix it and I just did it and nope it did not. I want a refund for all the Microsoft crap from godaddy and to choose some other email provider as this is ridiculous. Unless anyone knows a fix? I just don't understand how it was like they flipped a switch one day and of course I am still paying for all the accounts. Anyone know how to fix?__

    Hi Jace,

I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with this incident for two weeks, especially since these email accounts are essential to your business.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas only.

This incident may be related to the authentication connection between Apple Mail and Microsoft 365. First, please check whether you can access the affected accounts through Outlook on the web. If webmail works, the incident is likely related to the Apple Mail connection.

Please try the following steps with one account first:

    • Open Keychain Access on your Mac.
    • Search for the affected email address and keywords such as Exchange, Microsoft, Office, or OAuth.
    • Delete the saved credentials associated with that account.
    • Restart your Mac.
    • Add the account again from System Settings > Internet Accounts > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.

A recent case involving Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy was resolved by removing the related credentials from Keychain Access, restarting the Mac, and then adding the account again.

I recommend testing this with one mailbox before making changes to all seven accounts. Please do not disable multi-factor authentication or other security settings.

If the incident continues, please share your exact macOS version and confirm whether the accounts work in Outlook on the web. Since the subscriptions were purchased and are managed through GoDaddy, GoDaddy Support will need to review the licensing and authentication configuration or assist with any refund request.
