Azure subscription prompting for MFA that doesn't work?

I am able to sign in to my Microsoft account everywhere else, but when I try to sign in to portal.azure.com it prompts me for a 6 digit MFA code that I don't have?
I have the authenticator app on my phone and setup for my personal account. It won't let me purchase or setup a new subscription either. There are no alternative sign in options.
