I have not changed anything, but recently, when viewing photos of people On This Day, the photographs are spoiled for me by the white squares surrounding the faces of individuals. How can I stop this happening?

    Hi!

    • Press WINDOWS + R > Type "winver" (no quotes) > Take a Screenshot of the Window and send it to me.

Does the problem occur with programs other than Photos? Right-click a photo > Open with > Open with Paint > Check if it appears there.

I believe a feature within the Photos app itself might be causing this. If it only happens with Photos, try reinstalling it.

    1. Type "'PowerShell'" in the search bar > Right-click on the application > Select '''Run as administrator'' > Select "Yes" in the authentication message that appears
    2. Now let's type the following commands.

ATTENTION: Type (or copy and paste) the command exactly as I type it, including all characters and spaces > Press ENTER after typing the command.

    Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | Remove-AppxPackage

    1. Restart your computer > Reinstall Windows Photos (link below).

    1. Check if your problem persists.
