How to get my word and excel to open

Not sure what's going with my apps, when i try to use my word or excel I get an error message saying to close or repair. when I select repair nothing happens.

    For many, it seems the Repair now option does nothing. Try an online repair.https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/Office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application

    Hello, it's maybe your product license has expired or the existing license that you were using previously wasn't a genuine ones. This is the only reason for your issues. If you have purchased Microsoft 365 official license and have validity, then get in touch with Microsoft Customer support and explain your issues along with your valid original license. Thanks
