Outlook rejecting new IONOS email password

Hi, I transfered my Outlook email to IONOS due to a hack that couldn't be resolved by MS.

I am trying to upload this new email to Outlook, but it is being rejected at the password stage I guess because it wants my old password or the Hacker's one.

How do I get Outlook to look for the IONOS email and password. It is the same email address?

I have deleted my old email i.e. 'forget' from Office 365 profile. But that hasn't worked either. Do I need to wait a day and try again? I am working from a new computer, so no saved passwords on it.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Frogger

To make sure I understand your situation correctly, may I clarify the following?

    1. Does your IONOS subscription also include a Microsoft Exchange mailbox?
    2. What type of IONOS account do you have? Is it a POP, IMAP, or Exchange account?
    3. What is the original type of your Outlook account? When you sign in to Outlook on the web, do you notice whether the URL contains "live", "consumer", or "microsoftonline"

If I’ve misunderstood any part of your situation, or if you have further questions or updates, please don’t hesitate to reply.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
