Microsoft will not accept my request to update my age

Question

I am trying to use Word and microsoft says I am not old enough to use it. They have me in an eternal loop of stupidity and will not allow me to prove my age. How to break the wall so I can use Word.

Please try the following steps using a web browser rather than the Word app:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account profile and verify that your date of birth is correct.
2. If Microsoft identifies the account as underage, complete the parent or guardian consent process using an adult Microsoft account. You can find guidance in How to change a birth date on a Microsoft account.
3. If age verification is available in your region, complete the process described in Verify your age for a Microsoft account.
4. After completing any required verification, clear the Word app cache by going to Android Settings > Apps > Word > Storage > Clear cache, then reopen Word and sign in again.

If the issue persists, please also try:

• Signing in through a desktop browser instead of the Android app
• Using a private/incognito browser window
• Trying a different browser
• Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data

If this is a work or school account managed by your organization, please contact your IT administrator to confirm that you're signing in with the correct account and that the appropriate Microsoft 365 license is assigned.
