I want to use my laptops own protection app. How do I uninstall other apps and start windows defender so it is my only protection

    If you have another 3rd party Anti-Virus software, please follow the steps below on how to remove it;

    Press the Windows key, type "Add or remove programs", hit Enter.

    Search for your antivirus's name (Norton, McAfee, Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, etc.).

    Click it → Uninstall, and follow the prompts.

    Please restart your laptop after uninstalling; this matters, since leftover background services can keep Defender suppressed until reboot.
