Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!
This is happening due to a misconfiguration of the print spooler, and to fix the problem, kindly follow the steps below:
We need to refresh the print spooler folder:
- Press Windows Key + R and type services.msc
- Look for Print Spooler and click on Stop Service
- Press Windows Key + R and type spool
- Open the spool folder and click Continue on the prompt
- Go to drivers > x64 and look for the "3" folder
- Rename the 3 folder to 3.old
- Start the Print Spooler service in services.msc
Restart the PC and check.
Note: If the issue persists, try to remove all printer applications and reinstall the printer driver.
To remove the printer applications:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners
- Select your printer and click Remove
- Press Windows Key + R and type appwiz.cpl then hit OK to open Programs and Features
- Look for your printer software that is installed and uninstall it
- Restart if prompted
- Then reinstall the driver from here: https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcj470dw_us_eu_as
