My emails from all folders from June 4, 2026 through June 19, 2026 have disappeared. Tried to recover them as instructed by the AI chat but nothing changed. Is there a way to recover two weeks of missing emails? I’ve attempted this both through the website and the app.

    Hi Gene and Annette Vinik

I understand how concerning it can be when a specific range of emails suddenly disappears, especially when they are missing from all folders.

Since you've already tried the standard recovery steps suggested by the AI chat, could you please confirm a few details to help narrow this down further?

    1. Are all emails from June 4, 2026 through June 19, 2026 missing, or only emails from specific senders?
    2. Do the missing messages appear when you search for a sender name or subject keyword you know existed during that period?
    3. Have you checked "Deleted Items" and selected "Recover items deleted from this folder"?
    4. Did you notice the emails disappear recently, or have they been missing since June?

In the meantime, please try the following in Outlook on the web:

    • "Archive" folder
    • "Junk Email" folder
    • Settings > Mail > Rules to verify that no rule is automatically moving messages
    • Settings > Mail > Forwarding to ensure messages are not being redirected elsewhere

Official Microsoft guidance for missing or deleted Outlook.com email:

If the messages do not appear in Outlook.com on the web, are not found through search, and are no longer available in "Recover items deleted from this folder", recovery options may be limited. Thanks for your understanding.
