The VBE’s outdated display system should be fixed as soon as possible.

I am using Office 2021.

Because the VBE uses an outdated display system, it cannot correctly handle the scaling factors of the monitor on which it was launched and the monitor on which it is currently displayed when monitors with different scaling settings are used.

The relationship between the Windows display scaling setting and the maximum font size available in the VBE is as follows:

  • 150%: 16 pt
  • 200%: 12 pt
  • 300%: 8 pt

This issue has persisted for many years. It is long past time for Microsoft to fix it. If this issue has already been resolved in Microsoft 365, please let me know.

    Hello,
    Now, try to use the VBE on the monitor you normally use and keep the same display scaling on all your monitors if you can. Close and reopen the VBE so it can adjust if you move Office to another monitor. If the text is still too small, try lowering the Windows display scaling on that monitor.
