I had office 2021 on my home Mac but word and power point now asking for 365 licence

I purchased office 2021 for the pc's in my household. it now is trying to open 365 and asking me to purchase. I just wanted office 2021 for the few times I use it. it was ok last month but now NG. all the document on my PC won't work.

Can you tell me why please and let me know how to correct.

The licence was purchased a few year ago and I no longer have the key...

    Thank you for that information.There is no problem indicated with your MacOS version, this problem is caused by the July update, many people are reporting the same problem, the best option is to completely uninstall the Office apps using the steps they provide on this link.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/officeinstall/uninstall-office-for-mac

    Then reinstall the Office apps from your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/services/).

    There are a couple of widely reported problems with the Office apps on an Apple Mac at the moment due to the July 13 update

    What version of Microsoft Office do you have, is that Office Home 2021 or Office Standard 2021.

    At the top left of your Desktop, click the Apple icon and select 'About this Mac', what version of MacOS is installed on your computer?
