There is nothing wrong with your Microsoft account, PC or browser, currently there is a widely reported problem the Devices section and Bitlocker Key section on Microsoft account online is inaccessible, this is a server side fault that Microsoft needs to fix, hopefully they may resolve the problem soon, because many people are trying to access their Bitlocker Recovery Key.

Yes, repeated sign-in attempts can trigger a temporary block or security restriction.

Based on the documented sign-in guidance, the most likely causes are either:

    • too many sign-in attempts in a row, or
    • a temporary block tied to the sign-in method, device, app, or network.

    Recommended next steps:

    1. Stop repeated sign-in attempts for now. Repeated attempts can extend the lock.
    2. Wait at least 24 hours before trying again.
    3. If it still does not change after 24 hours, wait longer — up to 1 week.
    4. When trying again, use a different sign-in path if available by selecting Other ways to sign in.
    5. Try another device and another network again after the wait period.
    6. If the issue is specifically with the devices page not showing devices, there is also a reported case where devices linked to the account do not appear due to a server-side issue.

For BitLocker recovery keys, even if the device does not appear in the devices list, the recovery key may still be available from the recovery key page for the account.

If sign-in or verification continues to fail, use the Microsoft sign-in helper tool.
