Cannot Select Teams Meeting Background in PWA (Chrome)

I cannot change my background image or switch to blur or whatever in Teams when doing meetings. This is embarassing and strange. Using the teams.cloud.microsoft app.

1/ What exactly happens when you try to change the background?

Examples: The "Background effects" option is missing or an error message is displayed.

2/ What operating system are you using?

Examples: Windows 11 or macOS, Linux

3/ Are you using a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment?

In the meantime, I would like to share some information that may help clarify the behavior you are experiencing:

Based on Microsoft documentation, Teams PWA in Chrome uses the Teams for web experience. Although Teams for web supports many of the same features as the desktop application, background effects are currently limited and only background blur is supported.

Besides that, if the background effects option isn't visible, the feature may not be supported by the device or environment being used. In addition, background effects aren't currently supported on Linux devices and are unavailable when Teams is running in an optimized VDI environment.

If your environment matches any of these conditions, unfortunately, this feature is currently unavailable.
