Microsoft Solitaire Collection Premium - Windows Store Error (Started Today)

I'm running Windows 11 and have an active Microsoft Solitaire Collection Premium (ad-free) subscription through my Microsoft account.

Beginning today, every time I launch Microsoft Solitaire Collection, I receive the following error:

Windows Store Error There was a problem connecting to the Windows Store. Make sure you are signed in to the Windows Store and try again.

I've already tried the following without success:

  • Verified my Microsoft account.
  • Signed out of and back into both the Microsoft Store and Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
  • Ran wsreset.exe.
  • Confirmed I'm connected to the internet.
  • Restarted my PC.

The Microsoft Store opens normally, but Solitaire continues to display the Windows Store error and won't recognize my Premium subscription.

Has anyone else experienced this issue today, or is there a known Microsoft Store licensing/service problem? Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I should try before uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

    Hi,

I think it might be why people are seeing ads today in Premium.

I have seen a lot of reports today about Solitaire showing ads in Premium. It should typically resolve in a day or two without any action. I appreciate your patience while Microsoft works on the same. If it does not help, fill a support form:
