Hi,
Thank you for describing the behavior.
Since the Quick Step works correctly in the full Microsoft List experience but does not function when the same list is displayed through the SharePoint List Web Part, the issue appears to be related to how the web part currently renders or supports the newer Quick Steps feature.
At this time, I have not found any public Microsoft documentation or advisory confirming that this specific issue is under active remediation. Additionally, I would not recommend attempting to resolve the issue through an administrator script, as the SharePoint Online List Web Part is a Microsoft-managed component and its functionality cannot typically be repaired or modified through tenant-side scripting.
As troubleshooting steps, I recommend the following:
- Remove and re-add the List Web Part on the SharePoint page.
- Create a new modern SharePoint page and add the same list using a fresh List Web Part.
- Verify the selected view in the web part and ensure it includes the Quick Steps column or command surface required for the action.
- Keep the command bar visible, if the Quick Step is accessed through list commands.
- Test the behavior using:
- Microsoft Edge in an InPrivate session
- A different user account with Edit permissions
- A different Quick Step type (for example, Set Value versus Execute a Flow)
- A newly created Quick Step
- As a temporary workaround, use the See all link to open the list in its full/native experience, where Quick Steps are known to function correctly.

If the issue persists, I recommend working with your Microsoft 365 administrator to open a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. When submitting the case, include:
- Affected SharePoint site URL
- List URL
- Quick Step type
- Screenshots or screen recordings
- Browser console errors (if available)
They can follow this guide: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn .
If you’re unsure who your IT admin is, you can find guidance here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
I hope this helps move things forward. If you have any further questions or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to assist.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
