I can't find or recall my password info for my MS 365 Personal subscription which I need to cancel but when I submit my ******@gmail.com email address, MS sends me to my wife's MS 365 FAMILY subscription (to which she has added me). Microsoft has contacted me via ******@gmail.com about the PERSONAL subscription, so can you please take me to that page to that I may reset the password & cancel the Personal subscription? Thanks

Sign in to your account using your Microsoft account ID. It's probably either ......@hotmail.com or ......@outlook.com.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Please be advised that unless the account owner is able to access the account, subscription cancellation is not possible, and Microsoft personnel cannot retrieve this information.

Kindly follow the guide on the official Microsoft website to locate the Microsoft 365 charge from Microsoft at this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

If you're able to find the account where the personal subscription is active, you may reset the password on account.microsoft.com > click "Forgot Password" > Provide the codes and reset the password.

If you do not have any linked verification methods for a password reset, the only way to recover the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Once you have gained access to the account, you may cancel the subscription on account.microsoft.com > Subscriptions > locate the Microsoft 365 personal subscription > click "Manage" > then select "Cancel Subscription"

If you are no longer able to recover your account, you will need to reach out directly to your bank and request to block all charges from Microsoft, cancelling the subscription on its renewal date in the process.

You may also need to request a new payment method.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
