Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Bob Ferrari,
I understand that meeting invitations received by email have suddenly stopped appearing on your calendar in classic Outlook.
Please check the meeting-processing setting:
- Open classic Outlook and select File > Options.
- Select Mail, then scroll down to the Tracking section.
- Make sure Automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls is enabled.
- Select OK, restart Outlook, and test with a new meeting invitation.
Also, please check whether an Inbox rule is moving meeting invitations out of the Inbox, as this may prevent tentative meetings from being added to the calendar. If the issue continues, open Calendar, select the affected calendar, and then select Send/Receive > Update Folder.
Please note that declined meeting invitations are not retained on the calendar in classic Outlook. Only accepted or tentative meetings are shown.
If the issue persists, please let us know whether you are using a personal account such as Outlook.com/Hotmail or a Microsoft 365 work or school account, and whether the meeting appears in Outlook on the web. This will help narrow down whether the issue is related to the desktop app or mailbox synchronization.
