    Try this:

Open Device Manager, and make sure you've audio drivers installed and properly working.

If no audio driver is listed, you can visit your device manufacturer's website to download and install audio drivers for your system model.

If audio driver is present, you can try updating audio drivers to latest version.

Or if you've already updated them, try to roll back previous version to see if that works.

Also, run Playing Audio troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Let us know what it reports back.

    Hi, good day!

To narrow down the cause, could you answer these questions?

    • Is there a red X or any other icon on the speaker in the taskbar?
    • Are you using the built-in speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
    • Did the sound stop working after a Windows update or any recent change?
    • What is the make and model of your computer? Press Start then search msinfo to open System Information Please take a screenshot of the resulting window and post it in your next response

I look forward to your update and am willing to collaborate with you until we resolve the issue. Keep me posted by clicking "Add comments" below.
