Expiration Error Message when Trying to Copy Link for FOLDERS in SharePoint

Hello,

We use share point for our organization for all company knowledge and document management. We are a construction company. To integrate SharePoint with our CRM, I will copy the embedded link to the corresponding project folder on SharePoint and then past that link into our CRM. We can then access all related project documents by clicking the link directly from the CRM.

We recently ran into an issue where these links are populating an error message when trying to open them after they have been up for about 1.5 years and therefore not allowing access to the SharePoint folder. The message is saying the link has expired. I have double checked that the links do not have expiration date and the only people who can have access the link are those within our organization, and yet the links are still showing they've expired.

ChatGPT recommended using the URL instead of the embedded link but they creates an issue on the mobile side of things where the link opens on the SharePoint website and requires a sign-in rather than the SharePoint mobile app like the embedded like will do.

Any recommendations on creating a durable FOLDER link? I understand there are ways to create a durable link for specific documents but I really need a durable folder link to continue using SharePoint as our central file hub.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

    Dear Jacob Lopez,

To resolve this, Microsoft’s support team will need to step in. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can refer it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.

Here’s what your Office 365 Global Admin should do next:

    1. Submit a Service Request: The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
    2. Find Your Microsoft 365 Admin: If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
    3. Call Microsoft Support: For additional assistance, use this link to find the appropriate contact number: Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction.
