Welcome T KHUMALO,
I understand how frustrating it can be when you would like to connect your HP mouse (9CP1230WYN) using Bluetooth.
Before proceeding, could you please confirm:
- Which version of Windows are you using (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
- Do you see a Bluetooth pairing button or switch on the bottom of the mouse?
In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Turn on the mouse
- Make sure the batteries are installed correctly.
- Switch the mouse on.
Step 2: Put the mouse into pairing mode
- Press and hold the Bluetooth or Connect button for a few seconds until the indicator light starts blinking.
Step 3: Open Bluetooth settings
- Open Settings.
- Go to Bluetooth & devices.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
Step 4: Add the mouse
- Select Add device.
- Choose Bluetooth.
- Wait for the HP mouse to appear in the list.
Step 5: Complete pairing
- Select the mouse when it appears.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to finish the connection
Step 6: If the mouse does not appear
- Restart Bluetooth on the PC.
- Remove the mouse from paired devices if it was previously connected.
- Try pairing again.
If you cannot find a Bluetooth button on the mouse, please let me know. Some HP wireless mouse models use a USB receiver (dongle) instead of Bluetooth and will not appear in the Bluetooth device list.
I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
