Hello,

I am trying to find how to recover my old hotmail email that I made when I was 12 years old. Unfortunately I believe my hotmail has expired because it has been so long since I logged into that account. My recovery email for that was my school email address which I no longer have access too. I have logged into some social media platforms using my old hotmail and I can no longer login as I can't remember my password. I have filled in the account recovery form twice for the day but I can't remember enough information. I would just like to see maybe switch recovery emails to my current email address so I can change my password for my hotmail

    Dear Nadia,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the recovery email address unless you can first verify ownership of the account. Since you no longer have access to the old school email and cannot remember the password, the best option is to continue using the Microsoft Account Recovery form and provide as much information as possible (old passwords, contacts, email subjects, folders, account creation details, etc.).

If the account has been inactive for many years, it may have been permanently deleted due to Microsoft's inactivity policies, in which case it cannot be recovered. If the recovery form is unsuccessful, you can contact Microsoft Support for guidance, but they cannot bypass the account verification process or manually change the recovery email without proof of ownership.
