I can't access the admin account because I don't have the phone number that I have used when I have created the account. How to recover the account admin?

Hello @Sergiu Coptil ,

There are multiple ways to solve this issue:

Option 1: Use another registered authentication method

Try signing in and select "Sign in another way". You may be able to use:

Microsoft Authenticator on another device

A FIDO2 security key

Passkey

Alternate email address

Temporary Access Pass (if configured by your organization)

Option 2: Have another Global Admin reset your MFA

If your tenant has another Global Administrator, they can reset your authentication methods and force MFA re-registration. This is usually the fastest recovery method.

Option 3: Account Recovery (new Entra feature)

Organizations can enable Microsoft Entra Account Recovery, which verifies your identity using government ID and biometric verification instead of relying on a phone number or existing MFA methods.

Option 4: Contact Microsoft Support

If you are the only Global Admin and have lost all authentication methods, Microsoft recommends contacting their Data Protection team for identity verification and recovery assistance.

Hopefully one of these will help!
