How do I have my pc with windows 11 find my turntable as an audio input device to play thru my sound system

Windows will only detect the turntable if it sends audio directly to the PC, usually through USB, Bluetooth, or the PC’s audio input jack. A standard RCA connection may require a phono preamp or USB audio adapter.

Windows should detect the Behringer UFO202, not the turntable. It may appear as “USB Audio CODEC.”
Please connect the UFO202 directly to another USB port, then check “Device Manager” again.

I changed USB ports. There was a Windows beep. The green light on the UFO202 is on (it was on before).
Under System>Sound>Properties I see a USB Audio Codec. It's under Speakers.
Maybe some progress....but still nothing when I play vinyl on the turntable. I tested the turntable; it indeed plays records on another system.
More suggestions/help?

That is progress. The “USB Audio CODEC” under “Speakers” is the output side.
Please go to “Settings” > “System” > “Sound” and look under “Input.” Select “USB Audio CODEC,” play a record, and check whether the input volume bar moves.
Does it appear under “Input,” and does the volume bar react while the record is playing?
nothing moves or reacts. it says "microphone". nothing happens when i click on anything on this screen
“Microphone” is normal for the USB Audio CODEC.
Since the input bar does not move, please check the physical settings:
Then play a record and check the input bar again.
Are the RCA cables connected to “INPUT,” and what position is the switch on the UFO202?
The volume bar reacts, but no sound is evident. Checking sound with apple music and youtube there is sound.
just nothing from the turntable
The moving volume bar confirms that Windows is receiving the turntable audio.
Please try this:
mmsys.cpl and press Enter.Make sure the normal speakers remain selected under “Settings” > “System” > “Sound” > “Output,” not “USB Audio CODEC.”
There may be a slight delay when playing the audio through Windows. Another option is to connect the sound system directly to the RCA outputs on the UFO202.

It has RCA jacks coming out. I plugged them into a Behringer UFO202 then plugged the USB into my PC.
Operating system is Windows11.
It's not showing up in device manager in the sound settings.

For example, does your turntable have an audio out or USB connection?
