    Hi Himanshu

Sorry you’re going through this, and I appreciate you sharing what happened.

As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or review the backend systems to diagnose and resolve this issue for you. However, our role here is limited to providing general guidance by offering clear next steps, sharing applicable resources, and directing you to the appropriate support channels so you can work with the right team to investigate further.

Based on your description, your PC audio output appears to be working because you can hear sound from the computer. However, hearing audio and recording voice use two different devices. Speakers are used for audio output, while a microphone is required for voice input.

Before we proceed with further troubleshooting, could you please confirm what device you are currently using to listen to audio from your PC, and whether that device includes a microphone?

For example, regular speakers usually do not have a microphone. If you are using a desktop PC, it may not have a built-in microphone unless you are using a headset or earbuds with a mic, a webcam with a built-in mic, or an external microphone.

You can also check whether Windows detects any microphone by following these steps:

    1. Go to Settings > System > Sound.
    2. Scroll down to the Input section.
    3. Check if any microphone is listed there, such as Microphone Array, Internal Microphone, Realtek Audio, webcam microphone, or an external microphone.
    4. User's image
    5. If a microphone is listed, please select it and speak normally to see whether the input level moves.
    6. If no microphone is listed under Input, it likely means there is no microphone currently connected or detected by the PC.

Since others can hear you when you use your earbuds, this suggests that the microphone on the earbuds is working properly. If you would like to speak without using the earbuds, please make sure another microphone is connected and available on the PC.

    • In case you have confirmed that a microphone is available and selected in Windows, but the issue still persists in Microsoft 365 apps such as PowerPoint or Teams, please let me know so we can continue troubleshooting further.

I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.

I look forward to hearing from you.
