regular apps not in microsoft store. why not

I was wanting to download the regular Amazon Shopping app. But when I did a search in the Microsoft store it was not available. It has Amazon Music and Amazon Prime Video but not the Amazon Shopping App. I had been looking to install some other apps I have installed on my android phone and on my iPad but could not find them in the microsoft store. Just regular ole apps, nothing fancy and they were not available. Does anyone know why?

An app available and published to Google Play (for Android) and to the Apple App Store (for iPhone, iPad) doesn't necessarily mean it is also published to the Windows Store app. These are all different platforms.

So, no, Amazon does not currently offer an official Amazon Shopping app for Windows; this is an Amazon decision, not a Microsoft or Windows decision.

You can use Amazon.com in a browser or install the website like an app in Microsoft Edge:

1. Open Amazon.com in Edge.
2. Click the three-dot menu.
3. Select Apps > Install Amazon.
4. Choose Install.

This creates an Amazon icon in the Start menu and taskbar, and it opens in its own window.
