I have two Microsoft accounts that I would prefer to merge into one account. I have tried to delete ******@outlook.com BUT the system defaulted to to my other account @yahoo.com just before I woiuld have hit the last key. Tried this twice and the system insists on wanting to delete the account I need to keep (@yahoo.com) since I have Microsoft 365 associated with this account. How can this be fixed?

    Hi, @Doug Marsden

Microsoft accounts cannot be merged, and the Microsoft 365 subscription cannot be transferred automatically between them.

Please do not close either account yet. The @outlook.com and @yahoo.com addresses may be aliases under the same Microsoft account. If so, closing the account would also affect the Microsoft 365 subscription.

    Please check these first:

    1. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com Which email address appears in the upper-right corner?
    2. Under “Your info” > “Account info,” are both email addresses listed as aliases?
    3. Can you sign in separately with each address using different passwords?
