Mismatched MCID - Need to link profile and access exam results

Hello,

I recently took a Microsoft certification exam. I logged into Microsoft Learn using my personal email, but I scheduled the exam through Pearson VUE using my office email.

This has created an identity mismatch. Pearson VUE created a new, separate MS ID (MCID) where my passing result is published, and I cannot log into it.

I have my Pearson VUE Registration ID ready. Please open a private message so I can provide my details and get help merging this mismatched MCID into my personal Microsoft Learn account. Thank you.

Use this path instead:

1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn and verify whether the certification appears under Profile > Certifications.
2. If the result is missing, first confirm that the exam was registered under a different login account. This commonly happens when the Learn profile and Pearson VUE registration used different accounts.
3. If multiple Learn profiles exist, try signing in with any other login accounts used for exam registration, including the work or school account used with Pearson VUE.
4. If the certification is still not visible, use add login account in Learn profile account management. If that login account is associated with another Learn profile, it can trigger a profile merge.
5. During a merge, learning progress, credentials, and transcripts are combined into one profile, duplicate content is removed, and the merge cannot be undone.
6. If access to the other profile is not possible, or the credential remains missing, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for assistance with missing credentials.

Important details:

• MCID is retired. The current unique identifier is the Learn Username.
• Credentials cannot be transferred or restored from a Learn profile that cannot be accessed if the only sign-in was a lost personal Microsoft account.
• If the merge would exceed the limit of five work or school login accounts, the merge is canceled until that issue is resolved.
