My Microsoft OneDrive files were accidentally deleted on 8 July 2026. I am trying to recover my old files using the Restore your OneDrive recovery method.

The restore process is extremely slow and gets stuck at a certain percentage instead of completing. I have already waited for several hours, but it does not finish.

Some of my important older files, including files that were previously on my Desktop, are missing.

I need help recovering these files as soon as possible. Please advise how I can complete the OneDrive restoration or recover the deleted files without losing the remaining recovery options.

Deletion date: 8 July 2026

Problem: OneDrive Restore gets stuck and does not complete

Request: Please help me recover the deleted files and advise what I should do if the Restore process is stuck.

Important: Don't keep repeatedly starting new restores while one is already running. Since the restore is stopping, I'd first try to determine exactly where it is getting stuck and whether the files are still present in the recycle bin/second-stage recycle bin before doing anything that could make recovery harder.

If you tell me what percentage it stops at now (e.g. 3%, 20%, 50%) and how long it has been stuck, I can guide you step-by-step on what to do next.

    Hey there, shwetha ganesh

So that I can try and help you with your question, please can you tell me how many files you are trying to restore using the restore method?

Is this using the restore method from this page here: https://onedrive.live.com/?v=managestorage&sw=bypassConfig?

Or the restore option in the Recycling bin?

    Thanks,
    Nathan
