I do not want to use CoPilot.

It is now seemingly impossible to get rid of. The icon has appeared everywhere. It, is as a tool SO BAD, that even seeing it causes;

  • Anxiety and more importantly
  • Reputational Damage

How do I remove it? Or do I need to switch to Google Workspaces?

    If you use a one-time-purchase version of Office 2024 with Outlook or without Outlook, it does not include Copilot.

    For personal accounts, you should be able to turn off Copilot in Word, Excel and other Office apps. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/privacy/turn-off-copilot-in-microsoft-365-apps .

    Note that if you are in a business environment, you may not have that level of control. Talk to the local IT support / network admin.
