outlook 365 failure to update email password

outlook 365 is continuously failing to update email password. message says : something went wrong, please try again nor contact your administrator. its for my icloud email IMAP account. there is no administrator.

Hi Terry,

If you are trying to setup the iCloud account on the Outlook application, you may need to use the app password instead of the regular password.

To generate the app password for your iCloud, you can go to this link: https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage

Once done, use that on the Outlook app and it should allow the account to be configured.
