A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hello Candace Smith
Thank you for reaching out.
You can convert a document created in Apple Pages on your Mac into a Microsoft Word file while keeping the original Pages document unchanged. Here is how to do it:
- Open the document in Pages.
- From the menu bar, select File > Export To > Word.
- Under Advanced Options, choose the
.docxformat if prompted. - Select Next, enter a file name, and choose where to save it.
- Select Export.
- Open the exported
.docxfile in Microsoft Word and review the formatting.
Some fonts, tables, images, or page layouts may appear slightly different because Pages and Word use different formatting systems. It is therefore a good idea to review the converted document before sharing it.
For more information, refer to the Apple’s guide here: Convert a Pages document to Word.
