I cannot install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 for Windows

I cannot install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 for Windows. It says to delete other office products. I do not have any other office products installed on this machine.

This error usually means Office setup has detected remnants of another Microsoft Office installation, even if you don't see Office installed in Apps & Features.

Try these steps:

Check Installed Apps

Go to Settings → Apps → Installed Apps (or appwiz.cpl).

Remove any Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Office Click-to-Run, Visio, Project, or Language Packs.

Use Microsoft's Office Uninstall Tool

Download and run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA).

Select Office → Uninstall Office.

It removes hidden Office components that normal uninstall misses.

Restart your PC

Verify Installation Type

Office Professional Plus 2019 is usually a Volume License (MSI/C2R) edition.

If you're trying to install it over a Microsoft 365 Click-to-Run installation (or vice versa), the installer will block it.

Check for Leftover Office Folders Delete (if they exist): C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office Then restart.

This error is most probably caused by left-over files from a previous Office installation, even if no Office products currently appear to be installed. Please try the following:

Check "Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features)" for any Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Visio, Project, or Office language packs, and uninstall them.

Restart the PC and try the installation again.
