How to permanently disable passkeys as they only exist on one device and are extremely annoying, actively attempting to prevent my logging in with any other method?

I understand your concern. Passkeys are designed as an alternative sign-in method and may be offered by websites or services that support them. Currently, there is no global setting in Windows to permanently disable all passkey prompts across every service.

You can, however, reduce or avoid passkey prompts by:

1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Passkeys and remove any saved passkeys you no longer want to use.
2. Remove saved passkeys from your browser's password manager (such as Microsoft Edge or Chrome).
3. When signing in to a website, choose Other ways to sign in and use a password or another available authentication method instead.

If your goal is to have a system-wide option to disable passkeys entirely, you may wish to submit feedback through Feedback Hub (Win + F) so the product team can review the suggestion.
