Product release stuck in publishing for more than a week.

Product update: In Publishing (Last modified on 07/19/2026) (request to be published)

Today is 30 July...

Stuck since 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30 July

21 July - I logged a support ticket, and it got tagged as not critical.
24 July - Microsoft has reported back - that it has been escalated, but still no support other than an email to say someone will look at it.

I am still blocked on 30 July....

If you need to push out an urgent release to fix bugs, you could end up stuck for several days.

What is the solution for this?

    Welcome mwf,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your Microsoft Store app submission has been stuck in the Publishing state since July 19, 2026, and that the support case you opened has already been escalated without a resolution so far.

Before proceeding, could you please confirm:

    • Is this a new app submission or an update to an existing published app?
    • Does the submission show any certification warnings, failed package validations, or pending actions in Partner Center?

In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Option 1: Check the submission details in Partner Center

    • Open the submission status page
    • Review all sections for warnings, required actions, or incomplete information

    Option 2: Verify submission history

    • Check whether any package, store listing, or pricing updates were modified after the submission entered Publishing

Option 3: Review Partner Center notifications

    • Check the Action Center and registered contact email address for any requests from the certification team.

Option 4: Create a new support request update

    • Reply to the existing support ticket.
    • Reference the submission ID and indicate that the submission has remained in Publishing since July 19, 2026.

I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
