Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Hi Rakan Almutlaq,
I understand why this is confusing, especially when this was the first email you tried to send that day. Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot view or adjust the sending restriction applied to your account.
Outlook.com counts each address in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields as a recipient. Therefore, a single message sent to many Bcc addresses can reach a recipient limit even though it is your first email. These limits can also vary based on the account’s usage history and may be lower for non-subscribers or recently created accounts. More information is available in Sending limits in Outlook.com.
To identify the cause, please create a new message and send it to only one recipient without any attachments:
- If it sends successfully, the original message was likely affected by the number of recipients or the attachments. For job applications, send a separate message to each employer rather than one bulk Bcc message.
- If the four files exceed 25 MB in total, upload them to OneDrive and include a sharing link instead. Outlook.com has a 25 MB limit for attached files.
- If the one-recipient message is also blocked, please provide the exact wording or code displayed and confirm approximately how many Bcc recipients were included. Remove all email addresses and other personal information before posting.
Since the account has already been verified and protected with 2FA, there is no need to repeat those steps. I hope the one-recipient test helps determine whether the restriction is related to the recipient count or the attached files.
