My Account - Organisations - Home Organisation incorrect

Hi there,

For some inexplicable reason my business account has been linked to a previous employers tenancy as the home organisation and I am unable to remove it.

I pay completely separately for my service and whilst I do have the occasional chat using Teams with the old organisation the two are in no way related.

How does one remove this association to make me standalone again? It appeared in the last few weeks,

Thanks in advance,

Chris

    Dear @Chris Topp,

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your description, it sounds like your account may still be associated with your previous employer's Microsoft 365 organization.

If the organization is listed as an Other organization, you may be able to remove the association yourself by selecting Leave. However, if it is displayed as your Home organization, this generally cannot be removed through self-service and may require further investigation depending on how the account is associated with that tenant. Only an administrator can remove your account from your home organization.

In this case, you need to contact the admin or privacy contact for that organization to ask them to remove you.

Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern. Thank you for your valuable time and cooperation.

I am looking forward to your response!
