Dear @Aaron Rubin,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and I will modify your question to cover your personal information in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.
Based on your description, the issue appears to be related to your organization's Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) access policies rather than PowerPoint itself. The error code 53003 commonly indicates that access is being blocked by a Conditional Access policy. Your error details also show that the device state is "Unregistered."
To narrow down your situation, could you please provide some more information as:
- Where are the PowerPoint files saved (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, or a local drive)?
- Which account are you using to sign in when opening the file?
- Can you open the file using PowerPoint for the Web?
- Is this a company/school-managed computer or a personal device?
In the meantime, if these presentations are stored in your organization's Microsoft 365 environment, please try:
- Opening the files from PowerPoint for Web.
- Signing in with the same account that was originally used to create or store the presentations.
- Checking whether the device is joined/registered with your organization.
- Contacting your IT administrator to review Conditional Access policies and account permissions.
If you are using a work or school account, only your Microsoft 365 administrator can verify whether an access policy is blocking the sign-in attempt.
Looking forward to your update.
