How do I change our monthly subscription to a yearly subscription?

Hello!

Our company has signed up for a monthly Microsoft 365 Business subscription. We would like to change it to a yearly subscription.

The official Microsoft guides I have found for that don't include screenshots. I'm at a loss as to where the option to change billing frequency is.

Best,
Sara

    Hello @Sara

I understand that you're unable to find the Edit billing frequency option in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, even after following the Microsoft article. This issue can occur depending on the subscription purchase channel, billing account type, or assigned admin permissions.

To verify, could you please follow the steps in the Microsoft article below in detail?

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (admin.microsoft.com).
    • Go to Billing > Your products (or Subscriptions if you're using the simplified view).
    • Select the affected Microsoft 365 Business subscription.
    • Check whether you can see:
      • Edit billing frequency, or
      • Subscription length & billing frequency > Edit settings.

If you do not see the option. The most common reasons are:

    • The subscription was purchased through a partner/reseller. In that scenario, the billing settings may be controlled by the partner instead of appearing in your admin center.
    • Your account lacks the required billing permissions. Microsoft requires billing-related admin roles to make the change

Finally, you can take a screenshot of the page where you are getting stuck and share it with me. Based on it, I will review the screen and double-check your case again.
