My pc is asking me to sign in with my existing password and create a new one. I can’t remember as this unit is many years old. I can’t bypass it and have reset my windows password but it’s still not accepting it. Can anyone help me please. I just turned it on today and unsure what has changed or happened.

If you log into Windows with a Microsoft Account, try the steps on this page to reset your password.

If you log into Windows with a Local Account, try the steps on this page to reset your password.

If neither of the above works for you, then because this is a Microsoft Forum it is against the Code of Conduct for us to provide a method to bypass a Windows Password, I hope you understand.

The options you then have is to Reset Windows, or clean install Windows from a bootable USB
