Any Account Can Redeem It: That 25-character code isn't permanently locked to the account that earned the reward points. It can be typed in at microsoft.com/redeem on your account.

• Balances Add Up: If you redeem a $10 code and then enter another $10 code right after, your account balance simply increases to $20. Is this true?

The statement is true only if you redeem them in the same Microsoft account. You cannot use or transfer Microsoft balance from one account to another. Regarding the second point, what that means is when you redeem the rewards, you will receive a code instead of the balance directly. With that code, you can redeem on any Microsoft account you want, the account that you redeemed on will get the balance. In short, about balance stacking, it cannot be done in 2 different accounts.

Microsoft Rewards redemptions for Microsoft and Xbox Gift Cards are directly deposited to the Microsoft account balance and are treated as promotional balance. That means the reward is added to the redeeming account’s balance, not issued as a transferable balance that can be stacked across different accounts.

What is supported:

• Microsoft and Xbox Gift Cards redeemed with Rewards points are deposited to the Microsoft account balance.
• Microsoft account balance is non-transferable to another person or Microsoft account.
• If multiple amounts are redeemed to the same Microsoft account, that account balance increases, subject to account balance limits.
• The maximum balance stored in one Microsoft account is USD 1,000 equivalent, with some country exceptions.
