The device is listed, but when I click on "Manage Recovery Keys" for that device, it goes to a white screen that keeps blinking with the message "Trying to sign you in." I am already signed in, but the screen won't let me do anything anyway. I need to get the recovery key for this laptop, but the website won't let me.

In having the same issues it’s just a white screen with the same message would u let me know if u fix it?

I am having the same issue on 3rd August. I tested using an InPrivate browser session, also another browser and finally another laptop, not the home laptop registered in my Microsoft account. Same issue; a continuous login loop when trying to see the Bitlocker key for the laptop registered in my Microsoft account.

Many people are reporting this problem when trying to access the BitLocker Recovery Key section of their Microsoft account online.
There is nothing wrong with your computer or browser, this is a server issue that Microsoft needs to fix.
Wait a while and try accessing the BitLocker Key Recovery page again, this is an intermittent problem. it should be accessible soon.

DaveM121, we "waited a while", it's Aug 3, 2026 today and the issue remains. I am logged into my Microsoft account, I can see my laptop, but when I try to view its Bitlocker key (and recovery keys) the same happens as Jennifer described, a continuous authentication loop. The URL in the address bar is https://account.microsoft.com/auth/complete-client-signin-oauth-silent?state=<long_hash_code>.
Can this issue be fixed please? Thank you.

Hello everyone! i have found the fix! you have to log into your microsoft account with a CODE, or some sort of two factor auth instead of your password! the keys require two factor to view, but the prompt for it seems to be the bug! this fixed it for me <3

Kai, or even better than using login with a code, find the Bitlocker key and recovery keys WITHOUT the Microsoft account; it's your laptop after all so you should not need the Microsoft account to find the Bitlocker key for your own laptop. Use these commands locally on your machine:
Get-BitLockerVolume | Select-Object MountPoint, KeyProtector
manage-bde -protectors -get C:
Microsoft seems to have gotten it working now. I was able to recover the Recovery Key.
