    Hello Linda H

I understand that your Excel 2013 closes after displaying “Microsoft Office can’t find your license for this application” This normally indicates that Office cannot validate the installed license.

Here are what you can try to fix this issue:

    1. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    2. Select Microsoft Office 2013, choose Change, and run Online Repair if that option is available. Microsoft specifically recommends Online Repair for Office 2013 installation problems.
    3. Restart the computer and test Excel again.
    4. Check whether Office 2013 appears under the Microsoft account originally used to purchase or redeem it. Using a different account can cause Office to report that no product is associated with the account.
    5. Also check Programs and Features for another Office or Microsoft 365 installation, since multiple Office installations can cause activation conflicts.

Could you confirm whether Office 2013 was purchased separately, preinstalled by the computer manufacturer, or provided through an employer or school? Also, do you still have access to the original Microsoft account or product key used to activate it?

Feel free reply back to this post and update me on this issue, I'll be happy to help.
