The latest Azure Managed Grafana update from v12.4.3 to v12.4.6 messed up dragging and dropping panels while editing. For the past few hours, panels and rows can't be moved or resized. Instances on .3 work fine, but the ones on .6 don't

At least 3 instances in this region with the mentioned version are having the same issue, while one with an older version in other region is working fine

    Hello Sebastian Guozdenaverrollc,

Based on the issue you've described, this currently looks more like a service-side regression than a customer configuration issue.

Two things I'd ask you to verify first

These checks take only a few minutes and will help us provide stronger evidence to the engineering team if escalation is required.

1.** Confirm the dashboard layout **type

Grafana 12 introduced changes to the dashboard editing and layout experience. In some scenarios, the selected dashboard layout can affect how panels are positioned and whether drag-and-resize behavior is available.

Please open an affected dashboard, select Edit, and review the layout setting in the dashboard options. If the dashboard is using a layout other than Custom, please switch it to Custom and test whether drag-and-drop and panel resizing become available again.

We'd like to rule this out before engaging engineering, as layout configuration can sometimes produce symptoms similar to the ones being reported. Confirming the result will help us narrow down whether this is a configuration-related behavior or a potential product issue

2.** Confirm the dashboard is editable and verify the user **role

Please open Dashboard** SettingsJSON **Model and confirm that "editable":`` ``true is present.

In addition, please confirm that the affected users have either the Editor or Admin role. Users with the Viewer role are not permitted to modify dashboard layouts.

If both checks are confirmed and the issue continues to occur across multiple Grafana v12.4.6 instances while v12.4.3 instances remain unaffected, that would provide stronger evidence of a potential service-side regression and help us accelerate the further investigation.

    Thank you
