    Hi!

Which app are you using (Wallpaper Engine, Rainmeter, DeskScapes, etc.)?

Windows saves a cache of images used as wallpapers. You can try deleting these cached images.

    1. Close the wallpaper app. Besides closing the main window, check if it is running in the background. On the taskbar, click the enter image description here icon > Right-click the app icon (if present) > Select Exit or Close.
    2. Press Windows + R > Type %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes (or copy and paste it) > Press Enter.
    3. Rename the file TranscodedWallpaper to TranscodedWallpaper.old.
    • If the CachedFiles folder exists, rename it to CachedFiles.old.
    1. Restart your computer > Check if the problem recurs. You may need to set up your animated wallpaper again within the app.
